What We Offer Members

Job Placement data

Our database of job placement data allows our members to view trends in student job placement after graduation throughout the student-run business program community.  We have also built a network of SRB alumni who can connect students with leading employers looking for new talent.

Quarterly Webinars

Quarterly webinars hosted by the SRBA and led by various association members or supporters are available for students to compare notes, results, and plan for a better quarter.  This will facilitate conversations about common issues faced within student-run business programs, and create helpful benchmarking opportunities between difference universities.

Research

The data collected by the SRBA illustrates the massive impact student-run business programs have on students within the context of their university experience, communities, and employment.  This research surrounding best business practices and case studies is offered to better inform student leaders, student-run business programs, and new startup programs with the goal of perfecting their business operations.  Moreover, this data promotes student-run business programs as being key parts of their local economy.

Standardized Metrics

We have created a standardized metric system that allows students and staff to evaluate work performance and transferable skills development, as well as assess the success of their student-run businesses compared to other strong business models in the SRBA network.

Annual conference

Each year a member university will host the annual SRBA Conference.  This is an opportunity for students and staff affiliated with student-run business programs to come together to discuss common challenges and best practices for improving their programs, businesses, and individual development.

SRBA accreditation

The SRBA has established itself as a recognizable name in higher education and with corporations.  Member programs will benefit from their affiliation with the SRBA, but programs can take that a step further by becoming an SRBA accredited program.  The seal of accreditation indicates a program offers strong and effective experiential learning opportunities for students.  These students graduating with work experience in an accredited student-run business program will have an advantage when applying to work for corporations familiar with this recognition.

Network access

Have a question for a specific student-run business program, but not sure who to contact?  You can access all member organizations through our password-protected online database.

corporate support

With the help of corporate sponsors, the SRBA offers scholarships for additional student development opportunities, job fairs at the annual conference, and corporate workshops just to name a few.

central database

SRBA members will have access to our database.  This database includes proven concepts for legal program setup and documentation, tips for building a board, successful business models, collected best practices and research, as well as our member directory.  All of this and more is accessible on this website using your member login.
